Our History

Oak Apple Catering is run by Edward Potter. Ed is a farmer's son from Shropshire who has always been interested in quality food and is now bringing this to the dining tables, parties and events across Shropshire and into Wales. His farming background means that he undoubtedly understands quality food and actively seeks out the best from the local area when preparing his menus.

As his reputation grew Ed realised that there was a demand for his approach to food and in Autumn 2012 he made the decision to spend all of his time on his own business. Interest has come for all types of events from small intimate dinner parties to weddings and lavish Balls. Ed and his team help from menu planning right through to the tidying up when the guests have gone home!

As a Farmer's Son local produce is extremely important to Ed and his team.

Wherever possible only the freshest ingredients are sourced. Based and working within the small rural communities through-out Shropshire, Oakapple Catering recognises the importance of supporting local businesses and suppliers. Traceability is vital to ensure that only the best quality ingredients are used to produce the finest food, from farm gate to plate, the team at Oakapple scrutinise every stage of the food production process. Sometimes it is necessary to source ingredients from further afield, in these instances Oakapple Catering ensures they are of the highest ethical standards.

...our President, has asked me to write to you to thank you very much for the excellent meal you served to our members and friends last night. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, the turkey was delicious and the trio of puddings was a definite hit!! Several people asked me where I found the caterers from, so your fame will spread. Please thank all your helpers who worked so hard and served us so well.
